Overview

The Heart of the Coast

Just a two-minute stroll from Ivory by Shore, Malpe Beach is the vibrant centerpiece of the local shoreline. Unlike secluded private beaches, Malpe pulses with the authentic rhythm of a working fishing community.

During the day, it's a hub of activity with water sports and ferries heading out to St. Mary's Island. By evening, the tide recedes to reveal a vast, flat expanse of wet sand that perfectly mirrors the fiery coastal sunsets.

Activities

What to do at the beach

Water Sports

From parasailing high above the Arabian Sea to jet-skiing and banana boat rides, Malpe offers some of the best water sports on the Karnataka coast.

Beachside Shacks

Sample fresh churmuri (puffed rice snack), roasted corn, or freshly caught seer fish fry from the small stalls that line the beach promenade in the evenings.

Sunset Walks

The beach faces due west, offering unobstructed sunset views. The flat, compacted sand at low tide is perfect for long, barefoot evening walks.
